About the Event
Join us for a hands-on introduction to identifying some of Brisbane’s most invasive plant species and learn practical tools to help protect our local environment. Followed by morning tea. Proudly supported by Brisbane City Council. What you’ll learn: • How to identify 10 Common invasive weeds of Brisbane • Key features to look for when distinguishing similar species • Why these weeds are a threat to local ecosystems Interactive learning: • Examine real plant samples up close • Learn how to use the Brisbane City Council Weed Identification Tool • Get started with the iNaturalist app for recording and identifying plants. Guided Bush Walk: Put your knowledge into practice with a guided walk through Pooh Corner, spotting and identifying weeds in a real-world setting.
