Paddle Against Plastic

Join OCCA for a great morning on the water with Ocean Crusaders. Thanks to funding from a Brisbane City Council Environment Grant we’ll be taking to the water in kayaks to remove rubbish and flood debris from our waterway. 

Participants can either hire a single ($7.11) or double kayak ($12.90) from Ocean Crusaders or bring their own. 

This is a family friendly event and a great way to get your children involved in caring for our environment, while enjoying our local waterways. 

All cleaning tools will be provided (gloves, bags and pick up sticks) but we ask that participants wear appropriate clothing such as long pants and sleeves, hat and shoes you don't mind getting wet and muddy.

Meeting location: Meet Ian and the Ocean Crusaders crew at the Oxley Creek Common pontoon (down the steps from the toilet block).
