Springfield  Lakes Nature Care Inc is hosting our first ever Koala Counting Survey Walk in   Opossum Creek, Brookwater. This event is being held on World Nature  Conservation Day as it serves as a reminder of the critical role that nature   plays in our lives & the urgent need to protect it.

Places are strictly limited to 20 people, so get in quick to secure your spot.

This survey walk aims to collect photographic evidence to help scientist's   map locations of vulnerable or endangered species, such as koalas. The value   of this data can be fed back to our local government about areas of   significance. If you plan to take any photographs of koalas & other flora   or fauna, you may wish to use the iNaturalist app & have the app  downloaded to your phone but don't worry it's free. Simply upload it to your  phone from the google play store before attending the Koala Count Survey Walk.

What to bring: BYO water bottle, hat, binoculars, if you have them & wear comfortable  shoes & sunsafe clothing.

This event is being hosted by Springfield Lakes Nature Care Inc.
