About the Event
Take a walk on the wild side with KFPS Inc as we tackle the gentle Ironbark Circuit or the more challenging Rocks Circuit. KFPS is celebrating the Peaks to Points Festival with 2 organised activities including this guided walk. Karawatha Forest is a valuable wildlife refuge in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. It has a variety of landscapes such as sandstones ridges and wetlands. Come along and enjoy the forest with our members as they guide you along the tracks. The Ironbark circuit is sealed and suitable for strollers and walking aids. It is a shorter 1.2 flat track. The Rocks Circuit (2.5km) is more challenging with steps and uneven surfaces, but great views. Suitable for fitter, mobile members of the public.
Meet at the Discovery Centre to register for your walk. BYO hat, water bottle and closed-in shoes.
