About the Event
This event will couple EcoTours in Toohey Forest, led by Griffith University EcoAmbassadors, with a showcase of the findings from recent citizen science BioBlitz events at Archerfield Wetlands and Griffith University's Nathan Campus. Presentations from students and staff will highlight the biodiversity and participant benefits of citizen science. Connect with nature as you explore this unique ecosystem, discover fascinating local history, learn about the native flora and - if you're lucky - spot some of our local wildlife along the way. In addition, participants will learn how to use iNaturalist in casual and BioBlitz activities and will be invited to participate in upcoming BioBlitz events in southeast Queensland.
