About the Event

BOOKED OUT WITH WAITING LIST!

Join us on a nighttime adventure searching for some of the more elusive nocturnal inhabitants of this amazing natural space.  Once the sun sets, Toohey Forest comes alive as the darkness encourages a diverse range of species to emerge from their cracks, burrows and hollows. Our koalas wake up and become much more active, and the sounds of the forest change remarkably from their daytime ambience. Possums, gliders, geckoes, owls and tawny frogmouths are common sightings as well as a diversity of invertebrates. If we're lucky we might see an echidna and maybe even a yellow-footed antechinus that has been recently rediscovered hiding amongst the forest. So, rug-up, bring a torch, sturdy shoes and a sense of adventure and join us on this rare opportunity to spend an evening exploring the forest. Free but bookings essential (via Humanitix). Not suited to children under 10 years.
